Zap into Strategies

This guide shows how to enter a strategy using Zap, which swaps your token and deposits into the strategy in one transaction. For an overview of Zap, see Zap.

Prerequisites

Wallet connected to the Stake DAO app
A token you want to swap from (ETH, USDC, sdTokens, LPs, etc.)
A strategy you want to enter

Zap into a Strategy (From the Strategy Page)

Find the strategy

Go to Yield and open the strategy you want to enter.

Click Zap

Click Zap inside the strategy panel. You will be redirected to the Zap screen with the strategy already selected as the output.

Select the input token

In the Sell field, pick the token you are swapping from. Use the token picker to search by name or address and browse categories like Tokens, sdTokens, LP, and Yield.

Enter the amount

Enter how much you want to swap. You can use Max to use your full balance.

Review the route

Check the details shown in the panel:

Network fee
Price impact
Slippage
Fees
Minimum output

Confirm the zap

Click Zap and review the confirmation modal. The modal shows the amount you sell and the minimum amount you will receive for the strategy position.

If this is your first time swapping this token, you will be asked to approve it before the zap executes.

Zap into a Strategy (From the Zap Page)

If you prefer the generic entry point, you can always start from https://lockers.stakedao.org/zap and select the strategy in the Buy field.

After the Zap

Once the transaction completes:

Your strategy position is created automatically
You start earning rewards immediately
The position appears in the Yield page like any other deposit

Tips

If minimum output is too low, reduce the size or adjust slippage using the settings icon.
Zaps are chain-specific. Make sure your wallet is on the same network shown in the Zap panel.
